What is the Difference Between a General Contractor and a Direct Contractor?
A general contractor is the one responsible for day-to day oversight of an active construction site, coordination of trades and vendors, and coordination of details with all involved parties during the course of an ongoing construction project. Contractors also oversee all material and equipment purchases, all legal agreements regarding the project, and all subcontractor bids.
